Buccaneer Coaching Staff
HEAD COACH: Keith Hansen
Coach Hansen comes to Allatoona High School from Alexander High School in Douglasville, Georgia. In six years at the helm of the Cougars, the team won 121 games and lost only 47. They made the state playoffs 3 times, region runner-up once, sub-region champs 3 times. Over the course of those six years, 30 players signed to play in college and one player, Torre Langley, drafted in the 3rd round by the Florida Marlins.
Prior to Alexander, Coach Hansen was an assistant at North Cobb High Shool for six years under longtime coach, Harvey Cochran. Coach Hansen also graduated from North Cobb High School where he played basketball and baseball. Coach Hansen and Coach Strickland played together at NCHS.
Coach Hansen has coached with the Georgia Dugout Club All-Star Teams, Team Georgia and USA Baseball.
He is married to Kelli Laser of Snellville and they have 2 great dogs, Jack and Sammy. Coach Hansen is the little brother of Kennesaw Mountain Head Coach, George Hansen.
Coach Hansen has ties throughout the state with former assistants being current Head Coaches, Pecos Galamore at South Paulding, Rusty Bennett at Decatur and Scott Edwards at Alexander High School. Coach Hansen considers these guys close friends except for 1 or 2 days throughout the year (when they play). These coaches helped make his program at Alexander and are GREAT Coaches in their own right.
